

How is this legal?Īccording to the FTC, there are currently no federal laws that prevent companies from publishing this kind of information on the Internet, even if the published information is inaccurate. My personal information and/or information about my family is published online without my consent. Here are some of the questions we see most frequently, along with our best answers:

If you don't want them finding information about you, you can remove your information from Apollo's database.

Make sure the third dropdown box, the one for the state you want to search, says "ALL," which will instruct BeenVerified to search all states for your information. Once you're on the site, enter your first and last name to find your records.Log onto BeenVerified's opt-out site here.And when you do it, you also opt out of the PeopleSmart search engine. Fortunately, opting out of this service is relatively easy. BeenVerified is another data broker that collects your information.
